THE HAPPENING - good!

What Happened? When did it happen? Well, Trisha & family arrived on Tuesday and Thursday we all left for Bear Lake and our annual "Family Reunion" - THE HAPPENING! Camille did a wonderful job putting it all together this year. On the way there we stopped at the Bluebird in Logan for ice cream. Dad & I told them about the day we got married and had our wedding luncheon there. Then we drove to the Logan Temple and walked around the grounds. We I told them how grandpa and I got engaged there & married there. Arriving at Bear Lake, the house we stayed in was great and we had a lot of fun activities, including raspberry milkshakes one evening - delicious. The weather at Bear Lake was really great. We played games, sat on the deck, ate a lot of food, boated on the lake & just basically had a great time together. All the cousins found their favorite group to belong to and they were happy. One day it clouded over a bit so we went to the Minnetonka cave and walked the 888 steps in and out of the cave. I think all the kids really liked it a lot. It was cool in there. While waiting for our tour time, we picnicked in the mountains. Eating seems to be the thing that we all do best. Of course, the food was great. Our day at the lake/beach was fun. We were there with thousands of others! YEA! But the kids played in the water, sunbathed, rode the tube behind the boat and generally made a fun day of it. On some down time for everyone, dad & I drove around the lake. Quite interesting drive. Took us 1 hr. to complete. When we returned, dinner was ready. The day we left was a sad one. Everyone wished we could have stayed another day or two. It was just so beautiful & relaxing at times. On our way home we stopped at the Brigham City Temple and I told them a bit of my history in Brigham City. It was such a wonder time together.
