On the Road to Somewhere

We had a fun road trip with our friends just this past week. Left on a Friday and headed north. We just took it as it came. Stopped where we wanted to & saw things we decided were fun to see. A highlight was stopping to get huckleberry shakes and huckleberry pie one day at noon. They were sure good. Loved the purple color too. One of our favorite spots was Sandpoint, ID, way up almost to Canada. It was so beautiful with a lake outside our motel window. Fun little town too. We wish we could have stayed a day longer there, but we were on our way to Glacier and it was a long drive there. It was a bit rainy and the clouds hung low, so it was a ethereal, beautiful, day to see the mountains with the glaciers and the snow was still 10 ft. deep in some places. The waterfalls were flowing and we saw many, many beautiful and varied and long water falling down the mountains. We stopped in Brigham City on our way north to eat at Maddox. Peggy & Rick had never been there and it is always such a good place to eat. Rick liked it so much that we stopped there again on our way home to eat. So good. But it is good to be home, sleeping in our own bed again. We have no more adventures planned until our family reunion in Bear Lake. So excited to gather all together again.
